Here are some pictures of one of my LED installations powered by the energy of carved potatoes wired together to turn them into a giant batteries. Each individual potato also has an LED "eye" and wings made of nickel plated steel and copper to conduct the electricity. Each one represents a different angel from the story of the Nephaliim in the Gnostic book of Enoch. All of them are wired together so that they are powering the scrolling LED boards on the wall, which list all of their names and ranks among the angels according to the hierarchy. As the potatoes exhaust their acidic energy, the names of the nephaliim disappear from the scrolling LED boards. The whole piece has a seven day lifespan. For the most part the Book of Enoch is the telling of the story of the corruption of the human bloodline between the generations from Adam to Noah by interference from a rebellious group of Angels known as the Watchers who are so taken by the beauty of the first women of the earth that they swear a pact among themselves to come down and take them as wives. Which they do, and produce the first generations of the earth. They teach them the secrets of mastering the natural world. The hybrid children are mutated, intelligent and individuated but monstrous generations of offspring. They evolve and learn the art of war and metal working. They become too wise about the heavens and the earth. Eventually they turn on the humans and begin to destroy them. God is offended more and more so over time and swears to destroy all but the one family that as been untainted. Among the last of the generations of the Nepaliim are three brothers named Jubal, Jabal and Tuba-Cain. Tubal-Cain is the first metalworker and sculptor ( artist ). He builds two pillars as an offering to his people and as an offering to god. One of them is made of wood and holds all of the knowledge of the earth. This wood pillar could only be destroyed by fire. The second pillar was made of bronze. It held all the knowledge of heavens. The bronze pillar could only be destroyed by water. In the end, everyone on earth but the immediate family of Noah was killed in the great flood. This is because Noah's family is the only family left on earth that has a pure bloodline unpoluted by the nephaliim and can trace their generations back to Adam. When the flood came, the generations of Jubal, Jabal and Tubal-Cain were lost to history along wit the bronze pillar and all of the heavenly knowledge including the story of the Nephaliim. The wooden pillar survives and so then down the surviving human generations we find stories about secret knowledge of the heavens being found after it is lost for ages. Ancient mathematics and arts of proportions, astronomy and science becoming secret Gnosis.Primitive batteries such as the one I have made here would have been available to anyone with the desire to fulfill a purpose, any vegetables or fruit at hand with citric acid, a little bit of copper and a little bit of nickel are all it takes to conduct a small charge of electricity. Wire enough of these primitive batteries together and you have enough power to create light.
